GOOD-BYE BEAUTY and the BEASTS
After 2 years of touring, the BOLD-choice Theatre presented its final performance of Beauty and the BEASTs. On May 6 2008 the cast of Beauty and the BEASTs took its final bow in front of a public audience as sponsored through a local MS Support Group at the Bethany Baptist Church.
The Last Village People Dance

A church is just one of the many venues this cast and crew have performed at while touring from Northeast Minnesota to Northwest Wisconsin hitting sites in the cities of Duluth, Superior, South Superior, Two Harbors, Cloquet, and Proctor. The Beauty and the BEASTs Company has held performances in school gymnasiums, cafeterias and school auditoriums as well as Conference Banquet rooms, College Commons/Café areas, Club Recreation rooms and Church Fellowship halls.
| Beauty and the BEASTs shared its message of diversity, equality and awareness of disabilities with over 3500 area Elementary and Middle School aged students. This awareness helps educate and sensitize the youth in this region building a better environment for our community’s future employers, government officials and corporate executives. We aim to carry the success of our past forward as we go into BOLD-choice’s fourth year of existence. |

Upcoming Performance:
HELLO Romeo & Juliet's Tragic Comedy
Our 2008-09 Outreach production will be the BOLD-choice adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and
Juliet. It will target a slightly older audience that involves not only Middle Schools but High School
students as well. Romeo and Juliet is the perfect story to address teen issues as it explores young
love, the needless perils of war and teen suicide. Sound too much like a downer? Never fear …
BOLD-choice is here! BOLD is determined to present a comic version of Shakespeare’s brilliant
plot, updating it to modern day and catering to today’s youth. To get to the comedy however
there’s a bit of tragedy that needs to be waded through thus giving us the title of the new BOLD
production; Romeo & Juliet’s Tragic Comedy.
Romeo & Juliet’s Tragic Comedy will be 55 minutes long & appropriate for 5th through 12th grade
students. Discussion guides will be available to help prepare for the presentation and encourage pre
and post show student discussions.
The BOLD-choice Theatre
Company is busy creating its
next Outreach Production that
will be available to travel to
area schools as of Fall 2008.
