Memoir Class
Community Recreation Classes & Activities
The following classes & activities are available to CHOICE, unlimited Consumers. For more information contact the CORE Program Specialist at CHOICE, unlimited (724-5869 ext. 36).
All Class participants must fill out a registration form and have it signed by his or her CHOICE, unlimited Community Support Staff. If the class or activity requires a fee, please include the fee with the registration form.
Dress for Success
Wednesdays- May 28, June 4, 11, 18, 25 9:30-11:00am Fee: $5
In week one participants discover the best hair style “look” that compliments their features. In week two these individuals have the option of getting their hair cut by a hair stylist from Elysium. Week three focuses on make-up application techniques. In week four posture, clothing and style will be the topic. Class participants will actually go to a local store and discover the clothing style best for them. And in week five they will put it all together, discuss what they have learned over tea and scones.

Introduction to Fishing
Monday, June 2 Time: 9:30-10:30am Fee: Free
Veteran fishermen discuss various types of bait and lures, as well as other helpful information to introduce participants to a summer of fun and successful fishing adventures!

Fishing Clubs
June 2-August 29 Times: TBA Fee: .75/week(bait)
Fishing groups begin the first week of June; join the fun and compete for the BIGGEST catch of the summer, the SMALLEST catch of the summer and the most UNUSUAL catch of the summer.

First Aid
Mondays- June 16, 23 Time: 9:30-10:30am Fee: Free
Class participants learn basic first aid care procedures for minor cuts and abrasions; as well as proper care techniques for infection control, minor burns and bandaging muscle injuries/sprains.

Ojibwe Language and Culture
Tuesdays- August 5, 12, 19 Time: 9:30-10:30am Fee: Free
Participants learn Ojibwe language and discuss the Ojibwe culture in week one and two.
The last class is a hand drum concert.

Walking clubs
Participants gather with friends and make new acquaintances; a fun way to exercise!

Yoga Class
Tuesdays- year round Time: 9:30-10:30am Fee: $5
Participants gain greater flexibility, connect with their inner core and breathing while learning an ancient form of relaxation and stretching.

Massage Therapy
CHOICE, unlimited provides staff and consumers the opportunity to receive professional Massage Therapy at a reduced rate from a Certified Massage Therapist. Massage Therapy offers a calming and peaceful relief of the stress and tension that oftentimes damages an individual’s quality of health. Appointments are available for full body 30 or 60 minute Table Massages or 15 minute high-impact shoulder and neck Chair Massages.
