Therapeutic Recreation Program Assistant:

Description: The Recreation / Wellness Program Assistant is responsible for facilitating group activities that promote health and wellness. The main focus of this program centers on movement, from stretching and relation exercises to dancing or team activities.

Group size:
Seven to ten individuals

Type:
Volunteer position

Hours:
Three to five hours per week between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P. M. Monday through Friday.

Music Therapy Program Assistant

Description:
The Music Therapy Program Assistant is responsible for developing a program to encourage the therapeutic effect of music to promote relaxation and self-expression with individuals who have disabilities.

Group size:
Three to five individuals

Five to ten hours per week, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P. M. Monday through Friday.

Employment Readiness Training Program Assistant

Description:
The Employment Readiness Training Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the Vocational Coordinator in conducting classes which will enhance job seeking and keeping skills of individuals served through CHOICE, unlimited. Class instruction will include resume development, interviewing techniques, and the development of an individualized employment portfolio.

Group size:
Four to six individuals

Type:
Volunteer position

Hours:
Five to ten hours per week, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P. M. Monday through Friday.
