Employment Readiness Training (ERT)
This class teaches people skills for obtaining employment. The class also helps people discover what their skills are and what they would like to do for work. Topics in the class include: Proper Presentation or “Dress for Success”; Job Search using the MN Workforce Center; Completing Applications; Writing a Resume; Interview Skills; Dealing with Rejection; and Keeping a Job. Employment Steadiness Whether a person is employed or between jobs, Employment Steadiness provides valuable skills on how to maintain employment. Topics covered include: Habits for Good Workers, Communication on the Job, and Emotions and Behavior on the Job. Customer Service Skills Training Course at Lake Superior College The focus of this class is to assist learners in understanding their role in the process of securing and/or retaining employment. The course is taught with a "Taking Charge of Me" philosophy. It addresses increasing employer-desired job skills and improving on-the-job confidence. Teaching class participants the importance of interpersonal communication skills is at the heart of this curriculum. |
